Mibobooth is software for your photobooth. Guests touch the screen, the camera takes the photos and the printer prints them straight away. The photos also go online, so your client can download them later. You can also use it for live caricatures.

For people who rent out photobooths and for anyone organizing their own party. As a rental company you use your own logo and design. For a single party there is a short license. Do you rent out a lot of photobooths? Get in touch (the form is in Dutch, email works too) and the app can be set up in advance on every photobooth.

With a photobooth the guest sees themselves on the screen and the camera takes 2 to 4 photos on one strip. A Mirrorbooth has a black screen behind a mirror: only text and light shine through, there is no live image. With live caricatures a guest sends in a selfie. It is drawn live on the big screen and then printed. You switch between photobooth and caricatures in the app with one button.

On Windows and on the Mac (Intel and Apple chip). You download an installer. After that the app keeps itself up to date.

The app comes in English and Dutch; you switch at the bottom of the sidebar. The page your guests see follows the language of their phone. The online dashboard and the web shop are in Dutch for now, and so are the privacy statement and the terms.

Not to take and print photos: that works without internet too. You need internet to put the photos online for your client and to check your license. Without internet the app keeps everything on the computer and puts it online by itself afterwards. A paid license keeps working for another 30 days without internet after the last check.

A webcam always works. Do you have a Canon or Nikon camera? Install the free webcam software from the maker (Canon: EOS Webcam Utility, Nikon: Nikon Webcam Utility) and the camera works as a webcam. On Windows a Canon camera can also be used directly over USB, with photos at the camera's full resolution. For the sharpest image, put an HDMI capture card (from about €20) between the camera and the computer.

Check the USB cable, switch the camera on and set it to photo (not video), and turn off automatic power-off. Close programs that also use the camera, such as EOS Utility or a video calling app. On Windows the setting "Let desktop apps access your camera" must be on. Under Photobooth → Camera you can test the camera and see what the app sees.

Mibobooth is made for DNP photo printers. Install the official DNP driver, choose the printer in the app and make a test print. The app recognizes a DNP printer by itself and shows whether the printer is ready. Other printers on your computer are in the list too, but we do not test with them.

Yes. You choose one photo, two strips on one sheet or three strips (for the 2-inch cut of the DNP QW410). You put your own title, logo and colors on them.

Enter how long the party lasts and how many sheets are in the printer. On a Mac with a DNP driver the app reads that from the printer itself. The app works out how many photos will be taken at most and warns you if the paper is not enough. With one click you make the session times longer.

Yes. You choose which screen the photobooth uses. With only one screen the image stays in landscape. If a second screen is added, for example a TV that hangs upright, you choose how it is rotated.

First onto the computer at the booth: the single photos in full size, the sheet and a small preview. As soon as there is internet they go to the gallery of the party by themselves. You can set the originals to leave the computer only once they are online.

You share the gallery with a secret link or a QR code, for example on a table card or a sign. Guests look at the photos, download them and share them. The thank-you screen also shows a QR code, so guests can save their own photo on their phone straight away.

12 months by default, counted from the last photo. After that the link is no longer online, but the photos are kept and you can put the gallery back online. Search engines do not include the gallery.

Yes: your own title, colors, logo, an overlay and sponsors. Or make your own template in Photoshop, Canva or Affinity: the app places the photos behind the transparent areas. You can also use your own animations for the idle screen, the countdown and the thank-you screen. Would you rather not have our brand in the gallery? You can turn that off.

After the photos the guest chooses on the screen: print or retake (once). That way not everything gets printed. You turn these choices on or off.

The complete package (Photobooth, Mirrorbooth and live caricatures): single event €29.99 (one computer, 7 days from the first time you use it), €49 per computer per month and €450 per computer per year. Photobooth and Mirrorbooth only: €39.99 per month or €350 per year per computer. If you start with the Photobooth you can add the live caricatures later for €100 per year (or €9.01 per month) per computer; you then pay the same as for the complete package. Live caricatures are not sold on their own, only together with the Photobooth. All prices include VAT. AI credits, which you only need for AI caricatures, are bought separately. If you renew every year without a break, your license gets 5% cheaper each year, up to 35%.

No. Nothing is ever renewed or charged automatically. A month before the end the app shows a Renew button. Then you pay again in the web shop, with iDEAL, Bancontact or credit card.

Yes. Renew your license every year without a break and it gets 5% cheaper each year, up to 35% off. An example for the complete package per year: €450 the first year, €427.50 the second, €405 the third, and so on down to €292.50 from the eighth year. The discount applies to the license and to the add-on caricatures, not to AI credits and not to a single-event license. You can renew up to 90 days after the end date without losing your discount. If you renew later, you start again at 0%.

Yes. You download the app for free and try it out. In the trial version of the photobooth every photo gets a watermark. With live caricatures the first 20 photos are free, without a watermark.

With AI the app turns a photo into a clear caricature. 1 credit is 1 AI caricature. Credits never expire. A pack of 100 credits costs €59. You only use AI if you turn it on yourself.

Right-click the app and choose Open, or go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. You only have to do this once. Updates that the app downloads by itself do not give this message.

Choose More info and then Run anyway. The message appears because the app does not have a Microsoft signature yet. At the first start the firewall asks for network access: choose Allow access (private networks).

By itself. The app looks for a new version when it starts and every 4 hours after that, and installs it in the background. You can also turn this off.

The photos are first on your computer. As soon as there is internet they go to the gallery of the party on our server in the Netherlands. The gallery has a secret link and is not in search engines. If you turn on AI, the photo for the caricature is sent to the AI service. Also read our privacy statement (in Dutch).
